This project removed the reversible lane and light system along U.S. 78 between East Park Place Blvd. and S.R. 124 and replaced it with a concrete median including six travel lanes (three lanes in each direction). The project included 15 signalized intersections and 8 additional partial median openings within the 6.65-mile construction limits. Additional enhancements included decorative mast arm signal supports, pedestrian lighting, illuminated streetlights, and landscaping.
