May 22, 2014 | Elections

During its monthly Board of Director’s meeting, Evermore CID property owners elected two members to posts 2 & 5.

Each year property owners come together to conduct the annual elections of at least two posts. Brad Williams, was selected to remain in Post 2, and Dwight Harrison will begin his service to the Board in Post 5.

Brad Williams, small business entrepreneur, real estate developer and property owner, has lived and worked in the community for over 20 years. He was first elected to the board in 2011.

Post 5 will see Dwight Harrison rejoin the Board after previously serving for many years. Mr. Harrison is currently retired and is developing new business ventures in Gwinnett County.

In other ceremonial matters, two former Board Members were recognized with Chairman Emeritus designations. Dwight Harrison, who served as Chairman in 2005 and again in 2010 and Kenny King, who also served a term as Chairman in 2004 and as Vice Chairman in 2012. Both are also credited with being a “Founding Father” to the Evermore CID, then called the Highway 78 CID. Mr. Harrison and Mr. King were celebrated with a formal resolution detailing the appreciation of the Board of Directors for their many years of service to the community.

Each year, Board members also select the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer of the organization. Current Chairman, Chris Garner was reelected along with Vice Chairman Ron Harrison. Both will continue to serve in their positions through 2015. Bill Gower was also reelected as Secretary/Treasurer for the current term.
